POPULISM in CENTRAL and EASTERN EUROPE

Research Assistant in Social Psychology

I am looking for a part-time Research Assistant to help with a project on ‘Homophobia and populist politics in Poland, Czech Republic and Germany’ as part of a larger Horizon 2020 project on ‘Populist rebellion against modernity in 21st-century Eastern Europe’ [POPREBEL]. Part of the project will be to replicate a study on ‘Homophobia and collective narcissism in populist Poland’ (published in 2021 in the European Journal of Sociology) in Czechia and eastern Germany. The panel data will be collected in Czechia and eastern Germany and I will need a Research Assistant to conduct the statistical analysis of the data over the summer and to write the methodological and results sections of any ensuing publications, for which full co-author credit will, of course, be given.

The successful applicant will be paid EUR 35/hr and will be expected to work 30-35 hours a month for four months, with the possibility of additional hours, if necessary. The position will start as soon as possible. The work will be conducted remotely.

To apply, please send a CV and an e-mail explaining your suitability for the post to [email protected]. Please address any enquiries to the same e-mail address.
