Jitka Králová
WP2 Czech Ethnographer, Edgeryders
Jitka Králová is an anthropologist from the Czech Republic, trained in the UK, with experience in ethnographic research and human rights activism. Most recently, she has conducted fieldwork in Prague, researching on the issues of tourism and gentrification in the context of a ‘post-socialist city’. She contributes to the POPREBEL project as an ethnographer for the Czech language community. More broadly, she analyses the recent transformations within work, household and care as the key areas most affected by the socioeconomic consequences of the COVID-19 crisis. She explores how the lived experiences of these transformations shape people’s political choices and beliefs.
